We have two transplant units in the east midlands one in Nottingham and one in Leicester, The TYA team will continue to support patients whilst they are inpatients on a Transplant unit.
Fletcher Ward - City Hospital
Fletcher Ward is an 18 bed Bone Marrow Transplant Unit which has 3 rooms specifically designed for Teenagers & Young Adults undergoing intensive treatment. There is a designated social space just outside Fletcher Ward where you can relax with friends and family. Due to specific medical requirements some patients will need to have their chemotherapy/ bone marrow transplant on Fletcher Ward.
BMTU - Leicester Royal Infirmary
The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMTU) is a 4 bed, Transplant Unit which has 1 room specifically designed for Teenagers & Young Adults undergoing intensive treatment.
Due to specific medical requirements some patients will need to have their chemotherapy/ bone marrow transplant on BMTU.
